K. I’m afraid I cannot say. Apprentices are taken from their families at a very young age, and for whatever reason, be it magical or simply normal, I retain no memories of them.

Puzzles are one of my favorite ways to occupy myself, yes. It does take a certain amount of puzzling expertise in order to puzzle me for long, unfortunately, so I often find myself rather bored by such riddles.
I extend my greetings to you, sir, and I can’t help but remark how much you resemble a certain Dirk Strider, two of whom I have already become aquainted with.
Might I ask the reason for this? Or is there one at all?

Find myself… unable to actually think of many, no.
Magic is something of an all-consuming art, you see. I have very, very little time to spare on my own pursuits, but, as with all of its type, that is the price of power.
I suppose I do enjoy a good book.
